Cosmonautilus polaris
Taxonomy
Cosmonautilus polaris was named by Sobolev (1989). Its type specimen is IGiG 759/207, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsvetkov Cape, Discophyllites taimyrensis beds, eastern Taimyr (IGiG), which is in a Julian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
