It was recombined as Svobodaina ellipsoides by Colmenar et al. (2014).

    It was recombined as Svobodaina inclyta by Havlicek (1951); it was synonymized subjectively with Svobodaina ellipsoides by Colmenar et al. (2014).

J. Colmenar et al. 2014Gently dorsibiconvex shell with transversely elliptical outline; both valves slightly convex, but the dorsal valve always more convex than the ventral valve. Ventral muscle field very large, gently impressed over the major part of ventral valve interior; diductor scars flabellate, as long as wide and ranging from 56 to 80 per cent as long as valve length and 42 to 61 per cent as wide as maximum valve width.
