Kuttanacaiman iquitosensis
Taxonomy
Kuttanacaiman iquitosensis was named by Salas-Gismondi et al. (2015). Its type specimen is MUSM 1490, a skull (Nearly complete skull and mandibles), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IQ26, which is in a Miocene lacustrine - large lignite in the Pebas Formation of Peru. It is the type species of Kuttanacaiman.
