Pelidocrinus was named by Frest and Strimple (1981) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl Sepkoski's reference number: 241]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Diplobathrida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Elpidocrinidae by Cole (2018).
