Taxonomy
Palaeoanguina dominicana was named by Poinar (2011). Its type specimen is Poinar N-3-6A and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic. It is the type species of Palaeoanguina.
