Halysiocrinus was named by Ulrich (1886) [Sepkoski's age data: D Give C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Calceocrinidae by Laudon (1936), Webster and Lane (1987), Ausich (1998); and to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002).
