Taxonomy
Ammonites subfimbriatus was named by d'Orbigny (1841) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian-Hauterivian; Europe.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Lytoceras subfimbriatum by Avram and Gradinaru (1993), Reboulet (1996), Cecca et al. (1998) and Lukeneder (2004).
