Parapisocrinus was named by Mu (1954) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl D Emsi-u
Webster: Ausich 1977, presented solid arguments to place Parapisocrinus in synonomy of Pisocrinus with which I agree. However, Rozhnov, 1981, recongized the genus.]. Its type is Parapisocrinus ollula.
It was synonymized subjectively with Pisocrinus by Webster and Rakhmonov (2009).
It was assigned to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Pisocrininae by Ausich and Copper (2010).
