Taxonomy
Albaneryx volynicus was named by Zerova (1989). Its type specimen is IZAN 22-1089 (a single posterior caudal vertebra) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gritsev, which is in a Vallesian fissure fill horizon in Ukraine.
