Barbatteius vremiri
Taxonomy
Barbatteius vremiri was named by Venczel and Codrea (2016). Its type specimen is UBB V.440, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pui Islaz (microvertebrates), which is in a Maastrichtian dry floodplain mudstone in the Sînpetru Formation of Romania. It is the type species of Barbatteius.
