Tornatilicrinus was named by Guensburg (1984) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l Sepkoski's reference number: 239]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Iocrinidae by Ausich (1998); and to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002).
