Allosycocrinus was named by Wanner (1924) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Allosycocrinus pusillus.
It was assigned to Sycocrinitinae by Arendt (1970); to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sycocrinitidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978), Webster and Webster (2012).
