Asymmetrocrinus was named by Wanner (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Asymmetrocrinus poteriocrinoides.
It was assigned to Thetidicrininae by Arendt (1970); to Codiacrininae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
