Bathericrinus was named by Jaekel (1918) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl D Emsi-l]. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Botryocrinus (Bathericrinus) by Schmidt (1934).

It was assigned to Botryocrinus by Schmidt (1934); to Mastigocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
