Trihecaton howardinus
Taxonomy
Trihecaton howardinus was named by Vaughn (1972). Its type specimen is UCLA VP 1743, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Interval 300 of section of the Sangre de Cristo Formation, which is in a Moscovian terrestrial horizon in the Sangre de Cristo Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Trihecaton.
