Keraterpeton longtoni
Taxonomy
Keraterpeton longtoni was named by Carroll et al. (1998) [As for genus plus: postorbital squarish with a
broad insertion on orbit margin. Cranial lateral line sulci
present as pronounced pits forming transverse occipital
and infraorbital pit-lines. Skull table slightly shorter than
pre-parietal region of skull. Two pairs of caudal ribs.]. Its type specimen is BMNH R.2395, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Longton, Staffordshire, which is in a Bashkirian terrestrial coal in the United Kingdom.
