Taxonomy
Costalocrinus was named by Jaekel (1918) [Sepkoski's age data: D Sieg-u C Vise-l]. It is not extant. Its type is Costalocrinus dilatatus.

It was assigned to Botryocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978), McIntosh (1984); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
