Taxonomy
Erisocrinus was named by Meek and Worthen (1865) [Sepkoski's age data: C Bash-u P Wc]. It is not extant. Its type is Erisocrinus typus. It is the type genus of Erisocrinacea, Erisocrinidae.

It was assigned to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Erisocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978), Webster (2006), Mao et al. (2018).
