Glaukosocrinus was named by Strimple (1951) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-u C Step-u Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Decadocrinidae by Webster and Jell (1999); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
