Holcocrinus was named by Kirk (1945) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame-l C Vise-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1247]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Decadocrinidae by Webster and Kues (2006).
