Taxonomy
Cretirhynchia (Homaletarhynchia) postarcuata was named by Simon (2005). Its type specimen is NHMM GK 1204, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bissen (62D-771), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate chalk in the Gulpen Formation of the Netherlands.
