Taxonomy
Terebratulites limbatus was named by Schlotheim (1813).

It was recombined as Cretirhynchia limbata by Johansen and Surlyk (1990), Simon (1998), Gaspard and Odin (2001); it was recombined as Cretirhynchia (Homaletarhynchia) limbata by Simon and Owen (2001); it was recombined as Homaletarhynchia limbata by Motchurova-Dekova and Simon (2007).
