Taxonomy
Goniatites fasciculatus was named by M'Coy (1844). It is the type species of Fascipericyclus, Pericyclus (Schizocyclus).
It was recombined as Pericyclus fasciculatus by Foord and Crick (1897); it was recombined as Pericyclus (Schizocyclus) fasciculatus by Schindewolf (1951); it was recombined as Fascipericyclus fasciculatus by Tilsley and Korn (2009).
