Taxonomy
Anthracoceras oklahomense was named by Miller and Owen (1939). Its type specimen is Columbia University 18459, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Boggy Creek, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in the Boggy Formation of Oklahoma.
