Taxonomy
Anetoceras (Anetoceras) oriens was named by Chlupac and Turek (1983). Its type specimen is CM L19821, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Svarcava Valley, west of Solopysky, which is in an Emsian marine shale in the Zlichov Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Ruanites oriens by Korn and Klug (2002).
