Convoluticeras nikolaevi
Taxonomy
Taskanites nikolaevi was named by Bogoslovsky (1969). Its type specimen is PIN 2444/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Taskan River, above Ozhidaniya creek, which is in an Emsian carbonate limestone in the Vechernin Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Taskanites.
It was recombined as Convoluticeras nikolaevi by Korn and Klug (2002).
