Prochoidiocrinus was named by Wanner (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Prochoidiocrinus nodosus.
It was assigned to Thetidicrininae by Arendt (1970), Ubaghs et al. (1978); to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Codiacrinidae by Webster and Webster (2012).
