Streblocrinus was named by Koenig and Meyer (1965) [Sepkoski's age data: D Give]. It is not extant. Its type is Streblocrinus brachiatus. It is the type genus of Streblocrinidae, Streblocrininae.
It was assigned to Hypocrinacea by Arendt (1970); to Streblocrininae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
