Taxonomy
Fontannesia fairbridgei was named by Arkell (1954). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East of Bringo (784357), which is in a Bajocian shallow subtidal limestone in the Newmarracarra Limestone Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Newmarracarroceras fairbridgei by Hall (1989).
