Sundacrinus was named by Wanner (1916) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon P Guad-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Sundacrinus granulatus. It is the type genus of Sundacrinidae.
It was assigned to Sundacrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978), Webster and Jell (1999); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
