Tenagocrinus was named by Wanner (1929) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Embryocrinus sulcatus.
It was assigned to Cranocrininae by Arendt (1970); to Codiacrininae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002).
