Abyssomedon williamsi
Taxonomy
Abyssomedon williamsi was named by MacDougall and Reisz (2014). Its type specimen is BMRP 2008 33a, a partial skeleton (Semi-articulated partial skullwith disarticulated postcranial elements), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Richards Spur, which is in an Artinskian fissure fill claystone/conglomerate in Oklahoma. It is the type species of Abyssomedon.
