Angulithes cassinianus
Taxonomy
Nautilus (Hercoglossa) cassinianus was named by Foord and Crick (1890). Its type specimen is BMNH 71003, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Finchley, Middlesex, which is in a Ypresian offshore claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Angulithes cassinianus by Kummel (1956).
