Taxonomy
Nautilus disculus was named by Deshayes (1865). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Villers-CotterĂȘts (Deshayes collection), which is in a Lutetian carbonate limestone in France.
It was recombined as Angulithes disculus by Pacaud (2010).
