Enascocrinus was named by Strimple and Watkins (1969) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-u C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Synerocrinidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Taxocrinida by Sepkoski (2002).
