Taxonomy
Meristocrinus was named by Springer (1909) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl S Ludl]. It is not extant. Its type is Cyathocrinus interbrachiatus.

It was assigned to Sagenocrinitidae by Ramsbottom (1958); and to Taxocrinida by Sepkoski (2002).
