Honania complicidentata

Taxonomy

Honania complicidentata was named by Young (1979). Its type specimen is IVPP V4015, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huakedaliang, Dayu township, Jiyuan City, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Shangshihezi Formation of China. It is the type species of Honania.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Lee (1997).

Synonyms

Tsiyuania simplicidentata was named by Young (1979). Its type specimen is IVPP V4016, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huakedaliang, Dayu township, Jiyuan City, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Shangshihezi Formation of China. It is the type species of Tsiyuania.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Lee (1997); it was synonymized subjectively with Honania complicidentata by Li et al. (2014).
Taihangshania imperfacta was named by Young (1979). Its type specimen is IVPP V 4017 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Huakedaliang, Dayu township, Jiyuan City, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Shangshihezi Formation of China.

It was synonymized subjectively with Honania complicidentata by Li et al. (2014).
