Fidelites fidelis

Taxonomy
Goniatites fidelis was named by Barrande (1865). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Koneprusy, Acanthopyge Limestone (Barrande collection), which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Chotec Formation of Czechia. It is the type species of Fidelites.

It was recombined as Agoniatites (Fidelites) fidelis by Chlupac and Turek (1983), Göddertz (1987); it was recombined as Fidelites fidelis by Korn and Klug (2002).
