Taxonomy
Prolobites fabaeformis was named by Bogoslovsky (1969). Its type specimen is PIN 1683/5417, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dagendelly River, southeast of Karakhota, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in Kazakhstan.
