Placenticeras orbignyanum

Taxonomy
Ammonites orbignyanus was named by Geinitz (1849). Its type specimen is MMG PnK 7, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Idzików (Kieslingswalda), Piowat Kłodzki, which is in a Coniacian marine horizon in Poland.

It was recombined as Placenticeras orbignyanum by Wilmsen and Nagm (2014).
