Taxonomy
Manticoceras solnzevi was named by Ljaschenko (1957). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 9/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Sphaeromanticoceras solnzevi by Korn and Klug (2002).
