Taxonomy
Mimimitoceras transiens was named by Becker and Zong (2015). Its type specimen is PUM 14049, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is XZ602, Emuha section, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Heishantou Formation of China.
