Taxonomy
Wocklumeria applanata was named by Wedekind (1918). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Burg, Borkewehr, near Wocklum (Wedekind collection), which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Wocklum Limestone Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Epiwocklumeria applanata by Becker (2000).
