Taxonomy

Sporadoceras posthuma was named by Wedekind (1918) [Sporadoceras contiguum var. posthuma].

It was recombined as Sporadoceras (Sporadoceras) posthumum by Petersen (1975); it was corrected as Sporadoceras posthumum by Woroncowa-Marcinowska (2006); it was recombined as Posttornoceras posthumum by Korn and Klug (2002), Becker (2002), Korn et al. (2016).

Synonyms

Sporadoceras wedekindi was named by Schindewolf (1923).

It was synonymized subjectively with Posttornoceras posthumum by Korn et al. (2016).
