Taxonomy
Labechia prima was named by Kapp and Stearn (1975). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Valcour Island, Lake Champlain, Crown Point Formation, which is in a Chazyan reef, buildup or bioherm lime mudstone in the Crown Point Formation of New York.
