L. Popov et al. 1994Shell irregularly subcircular in outline. Dorsal valve usually highly conical. Ventral valve truncatedly cylindrical in profile, with large, flattened to irregularly shaped, or cylindrical attachment scar; ventral interior with well developed apical process directly anterior to pedicle opening.
