Taxonomy
Palaeopteria parvula was named by Whiteaves (1897). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Inmost Island, Kinwow Bay, Lake Winnepeg, which is in a Maysvillian carbonate dolomite/chert in the Red River Formation of Canada.
