Taxonomy
Fibularia was named by Lamarck [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-l R Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Echinoneidae by Cooke (1942); to Fibulariidae by Clark and Twitchell (1915), Durham (1955), Durham (1966), Nisiyama (1968), Kier (1968), Donovan (1993); and to Clypeasteroida by Sepkoski (2002).
