Taxonomy
Procheloniceras hennigi was named by Förster and Weier (1983). Its type specimen is BSP 1982 XX 60, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Niongala (BSP collection), which is in an Aptian marine shale in Tanzania.
