Chelichnus duncani

Taxonomy
Testudo duncani was named by Owen (1842). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Corncockle Quarry, which is in a Cisuralian terrestrial sandstone in the Corncockle Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Chelichnus.

It was recombined as Chelichnus duncani by Jardine (1850), Hay (1902), Hay (1930), Schmidt (1959), Haubold (1971).
